Artist Bio
My name is Michelle Bodamer and I live in Eastern PA, near the Lehigh Valley. I am a photographer, illustrator, painter, and blogger living & working in a small town near the mountains with three goofy dogs. I am a photography instructor at a local Art School, and I have a Bachelor of Arts degree. I've been drawing and taking photographs my entire life.
Adventure inspires me. Nature inspires me. People inspire me. I love cameras & books and own too many of each to count. I collect art magazines, and watch movies across genres. I find road trips with no destination thrilling because of the limitless possibility. I love roller coasters, coffee, & music.
When I'm not creating, drawing, or photographing---I am usually found spending time with my husband and three amazing dogs.
Artist Statement
I believe in capturing the essence and magic of the moment with my photography---so that the moment can be preserved forever.
I have always been passionate about my art and I've been drawing, painting, and photographing the world around me since I was a child. I continued to pursue my art in college where I acquired a Bachelors of Arts degree in art with a concentration in photography.
My approach is to capture moments, emotions, people, and essentially life as it happens to create beautiful and unique portraits. Whether it is photography, painting, or other forms of artistic expression, I believe that my creativity and enthusiasm comes through in my work. I give each patron my full attention as well as a custom-tailored experience when they select one of my pieces for their collection, or book my services.
