A Beautiful Day at Peace Valley Lavender Farm!

I spent a beautiful day at the Peace Valley Lavender Farm over the weekend. I saw an ad for it on Facebook and decided that it warranted a fun excursion on Friday.  It was a hot summer day on Friday but the weather was still amazing.  When I drove up to the front gate it instantly struck me that the air carried the heavy scent of lavender and I felt a wave of relaxation wash over me.

I pulled my Jeep in to park on the stone driveway and took my camera inside the barn to explore the lavender store. When I walked in I was greeted by Roberta who invited me to look around, relax, and enjoy the afternoon.  Looking out of the window of the barn I noticed that she had a fantastic view of Lake Galena at Peace Valley Park. The hill was covered with beautiful lavender.

I purchased some lavender soap, shampoo, and lip balm. Roberta offered to hold it inside for me while I went exploring. With her approval I fired up my camera and strolled around the farm. Here is a sneak peek from my afternoon...

If you are looking for a fun summer activity, visiting this farm is a fun, relaxing afternoon. Walking around the farm was like something out of the pages of a novel. There were butterflies and the soft hum of bees. The sun had a late afternoon golden glow and it accentuated the unique details of the farm. I have also been using the lavender soap since my visit and I love it, it's a great way to start the day!

Wow! This looks gorgeous and I love how you made me feel like I was there with you. Along with your amazing images, I love your writing too! Beatiful, you make me want to take a road trip :-) Do they do weddings here? It would so make a great location for a wedding.

Hi Michelle

These images are stunning. I love lavender. I can almost smell it as a read your blog. Very creative. I am going to have to make a road trip. I will have to find some girls to photograph in the lavender fields (wearing white flowing cotton dresses). I picture it already!

Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks everyone! It really was a beautiful afternoon. I don't know if they do weddings or not, but they have an amazing property with a gorgeous view of the lake! I'm still using the soap I bought and it's an awesome way to wake up in the morning!
