Spring Forward

A friend of mine recently purchased some flowers from a fundraiser to benefit a charity. I was the lucky recipient of these flowers. They were a beautiful collection of tulips and lillies. Because I am not so handy with the plants, I decided to photograph the flowers so that I could always remember how beautiful they looked the day she gave them to me.

There are a few really great things about spring. Some that I love are the smell of the spring air, watching everything infuse with life and color again after a long winter, and the idea of a new beginning. It is the last one that I'm particularly fond of.

Lately I find myself thinking about this and how you need to take time to appreciate the small things in life. It's never too late to pursue something you are passionate about, rekindle a friendship, or to start a new adventure.  :)
