Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 12:03PM We celebrated my father's birthday recently and I wasn't sure what I wanted to get him. It was a milestone birthday and I wanted my gift to be special, meaningful, and unique. The idea to draw a family portrait came to me one day and I asked my mom if she could send me some photographs.
I was unable to give my dad a photography session of him and his parents. His father has been gone for many years. But I was able to combine three different photographs of him, his mother, and his father into one hand drawn portrait. In the end he loved the gift! Here is a scan of the drawing...
