Michelle Bodamer Photography: Weekend in NYC!

Recently, Justin and I went to New York City for the weekend to celebrate with another couple we are friends with---you can see a family portrait session I did for them here. What were we celebrating? Friendship, ourselves, the end of winter...oh wait... and my birthday.  I like to think of it as another year more experienced. The experiences I've had over the past year have been important. Our experiences each year continue to shape who we are, what we know to be true, and our future.

We all decided to go to NYC for the day. It isn't a far drive for us and all of us wanted to do something a little different.  We walked around the city, went to MoMA, had dinner in Manhattan, and then went to see a broadway show. Everyone had a great time and we created a lot of fun memories! Here are a few photos from our trip...

EMERGENCE Opening Reception at Antonio Salemme Foundation

Thank you to everyone who came out to the EMERGENCE opening reception last night! It was such a pleasure seeing everyone and having the opportunity to celebrate the work of so many talented people.

The artists featured in the exhibit participated in creating a page for a collaborative book project on display tonight. Above is the page I submitted, in addition to the other two pieces that I had on display.

If you missed the opening reception last night, you can still enjoy the closing reception on Saturday, August 21st. We will be attending. Here are a few details about the show:

Show is August 7th to August 21st

Closing Night Party on Saturday, August 21st, 2010 at 7 pm.

The event is free to the public. The Salemme Foundation is located at 542 W Hamilton St., Suite 203, Allentown, PA and will be open for viewing 11am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday, from August 7th through August 21st.

The show features over twenty-five artists, and is curated by Chen Arts members Heather Haas, EA Kafkalas and Chris Neyen.
